Fishin' for the Mission Crappie Tournament

Trinity Baptist Church’s Fishin’ for the Mission Crappie Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Millwood Lake to benefit Colby Smith’s Solid Foundation and Cornerstone Christian Ranch in Honduras.

Registration is $100 per boat. A $20 late fee will be added for boats registering the day of the tournament.  Boats can opt to pay an additional $10 to participate in the “Big Crappie” contest.

      Payout prize amounts are based on 25 boats. Actual amounts may vary.

    Biggest fish per bag breaks a tie.

TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the Tournament Organizer and the decision(s) of the tournament officials shall be final in all matters.
  • All state, federal, and parks and wildlife regulations shall apply at all times.
  • Competitors should follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. All angling must be done from a boat. A contestant must not depart the boat to land fish.
  • Only crappie fish will be weighed. The best 7 fish win the tournament. In the event of a tie, the biggest fish for bag will win the tournament. Only live fish will be weighed.
  • Fishing will start at 7:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at Yarborough Landing at Millwood Lake.  All  boats must be off the water by 3:00 p.m.  Weigh-in will happen at 4:00 p.m. at Yarborough Landing.
  • Protest must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the weigh-in deadline.
  • Any contestant found to be under the influence of drugs or judged to be intoxicated will be subject to disqualification.
  • Any violation of tournament rules will result in disqualification.
  • Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified.
  • All weighing of fish shall be done by tournament officials and weight recorded by officials.
  • Contestants may fish alone or with others in their boat. Winning is based off the best seven fish per boat.  Cost per boat is $100 (+$20 late fee where applicable), regardless of the number of fishermen in the boat.
  • By participating in the fishing tournament, participants agree to waive and release Trinity Baptist Church, Sponsors, Beneficiaries, and all other contestants from any and all claims of injury and/or material and bodily damage incurred in connection with the tournament.
