Pathway Resource Center

Pathway Resource Center’s goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with every one of their clients. At the core of their ministry is the Pathway Life Skills and Risk Avoidance youth development program. This 8 lesson Biblically-based curriculum is designed to give young people the skills necessary to make smart choices and avoid risky behaviors that can hurt them physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

In addition to helping target the root of the crisis pregnancy situation through the curriculum, Pathway has also established a medical pregnancy center in Texarkana, AR offering free pregnancy testing and verifications, ultrasounds, counseling, parenting classes, and a baby boutique.

Trinity Baptist Church members are encouraged to pray this month for Pathway’s clients and volunteers. Also, pray that Pathway will be blessed with new volunteers, staff, and funding that are needed for this rapidly growing ministry.

How to Volunteer

Church members are encouraged to volunteer with the Pathway Resource Center.  You can serve and disciple those facing unplanned pregnancies in our community in a variety of ways.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Client Advocates (Training Provided)
    Share vital information about fetal development, adoption, abortion risks and procedures, parenting. Share biblical truth, encourage and pray with clients. Assess client needs including spiritual needs and provide encouragement and support during pregnancy and beyond.
  • Men’s Client Advocate (Training Provided)
    Share vital information about being a father, spiritual needs, and provide encouragement to young men in unplanned pregnancy situations.
  • Class Facilitator (Training Provided)
    Equip clients/students with skills and information through classes on life skills and risk avoidance, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting and healthy relationships.
  • Nursery Worker
    Supervise and interact with small children/babies while parents are in class
  • Mentor
    Get to know clients and help build ongoing relationships with them by making follow up calls or scheduling meetings.
  • Bible Study Leader
    Lead a bible study class for previous and current clients.
  • Ultrasound Technician
    Perform ultrasounds (must have certifications to perform ultrasounds).
  • Ultrasound Witness
    Experience the miracle of life while standing as witness while our Medical Professionals perform ultrasounds for clients.
  • Life Skills & Sexual Risk Avoidance Team Member
    Be a part of the team that speaks to schools, churches and other
    youth groups about abstinence in both Christian and health aspects.
  • Making Life Disciples Church Representative
    Help create a bridge between the pregnancy center and your church. This program will provide training and support needed to serve and disciple those who are facing unplanned pregnancies.
  • Baby Shower Hosts
    Plan and host baby showers for clients.
  • Fundraising Event Planner
    Help coordinate, implement, and plan new fundraising events.
  • Information Booth Worker
    Give information about Pathway’s services at various events, health fairs, etc.
  • Baby Boutique Worker/Organizer
    Help run and/or organize a store which offers free baby and essential need items.
